Proud to be part of the Donnington Brewery
Richard Iles Arkell began brewing beer in Donnington in 1865. The building dates back to 1291 when its original use was as a mill for Broadway Manor. The same age old recipe is used in the brew to this day, using water from the natural spring which runs alongside the mill pond.
This, combined with barley, malt and hops gives the ales their magnificent taste. This family-run brewery has been passed down the Arkell family tree, and is currently in the hands of father and son James Arkell and John Arkell who produce great tasting ales for our enjoyment.

In the subtle flavour of this premium bitter, malt dominates over bitterness. Using slight hints of fruit and a dry, malty finish. Darker in colour and sweeter on the palette.
